How much bleeding can come from hemorrhoids.?

A few days ago I saw my roommate wiping a lot of blood off her legs and her body. There was also a lot of blood on the floor and all over the toilet seat. There was also some blood in the hallway. She cleaned up some of it but not all. I could smell blood in the bathroom and had to open the window as I cleaned up. It made me sick. I confronted her about it and suggested she go to the emergency room but she refused. She told me it was just a bleeding hemorrhoid. That seemed like an awful lot of blood from a hemorrhoid. Also I’ve seen a lot of blood on the front of the toilet and in front of the toilet and I don’t think that’s where blood from a hemorrhoid would land.

Will My hemorrhoids eventually get worse, even though I’m taking care of it?
Is it something that will constantly grow no matter what? Or would they stay the same?
Can I live the rest of my life with my hemorrhoids condition staying not severe?

I’ve had hemorrhoids for going on 10 years now. They will act up every now and then with a BM, but that’s probably going to be about the worst of it. They won’t get worse. They won’t keep growing. You can have them removed, but it isn’t necessary. Majority of the time, there are no problems. If you can handle them now, you should be fine. Mine have actually gotten better as opposed to worse. They act up less than they used to, they don’t get big like they used to… Try not to push when making a BM, as that can cause them to act up. Witch Hazel pads are great for easing discomfort (although if your ‘roid has ruptured at all, and is bleeding, then witch hazel might burn). Preparation H doesn’t help me at all, nor do most OTC hemorrhoid meds. The b est adv ice I can give to ease them when they hurt is either a cool washcloth to reduce swelling or a sitz bath. If you don’t have a sitz bath, you can just sit in a tub (use lukewarm to warm water, not hot). Also, pick up a donut from the local pharmacy for if they ever make sitting uncomfortable. You probably won’t use this, I never do, but I do like knowing I have one.

Anyway, the entire point of this is that they probably won’t get worse, although they will never go away.

okay so I have been addicted to laxatives for a while now… it started out just having 3 a day but about a week ago I started taking 5 throughout the day- I now have hemorrhoids and realize I need to stop really bad its just so hard.

I haven’t gone to the doctors about this or talked to anyone about it, my mom was suspicious for a while and asked me if I was addicted to laxatives and I just acted really insulted and disgusted she would suggest that. She told me about how my grandma was addicted for a while and I just said I wasn’t

anyway I am back down to taking three a day and trying to cut back on them slowly- because I did once stop completely for four days (I gained three pounds) started freaking out and got really sad, nervous, and depressed so I started up again.

The hemorrhoids are getting better and I am not bleeding as much as I used to but its still pretty painful.

I really just want to be thin. I hate this so much. I want help before I kill my body but I can‘t ask for it or do anything its just way to embarrassing.

I wish I could sleep for three months and wake up 20 pounds lighter. :/

Try exercising. I lost 60 lbs rock climbing. I used to weigh 205, now I weigh 143. Eating disorders are the sissy way, do some hard work for a change. You’ll feel better about yourself, plus you’ll be stronger and won’t have hemorrhoids.

Dear Doctors,

Fist of all sorry for my weak English language, I will try to explain as much as I can.

I’m suffering from an advance case of Hemorrhoids (piles) with case level 4 (The hemorrhoids are prolapsed and cannot be manually reduced).

I need an advice for natural herbals or other medicine for my case, the Hemorrhoids is not bleeding, but it’s painful when I try to touch it or make a very simple pressure on it with my finger, I feel like it full of blood inside it and that it is Congestion when I touch it with weak pressure, I don’t want a surgery for my case, I’m living in Egypt and we don’t have the advance medical technology treatment like the U.S, so I need an advice for something I can use.
